Dr. William H. Strader, Ed.D., Professor, Early Childhood Education, is the former Chair, Department of Early Childhood Education Hesser College, (Mt. Washington College), New Hampshire. Dr. Strader held the position of Coordinator, Institute for Early Childhood Leadership, Professional Development, Johnson Wales University, School of Education, and developed the Masters of Education (M.Ed.), Early Childhood Administration and Leadership. Dr. Strader is the Coordinator for the New England Symposium on Play which has run for the past eighteen years. Dr. Strader is a former member of Board of Directors for Reach Out and Read RI, an early literacy program that works with pediatric care facilities in Rhode Island. “Dr. Bill”, as his students call him, is the facilitator for the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s Student Interest Forum. He is a member of the NAEYC Play, Policy and Practice and the Men in Early Childhood Education Interest Forum.
