Every February, the school-based health care movement celebrates the impact of its work on students, schools, and communities across the country. In the past, the School-Based Health Alliance has provided tools to help school-based health care advocates share stories, schedule SBHC tours, and get media coverage.
For Awareness Month 2016, we worked to build support for a landmark piece of legislation from Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI). This comprehensive school-based health care “vision” bill would provide support for SBHCs to expand clinical operations, innovate service delivery models, maximize reimbursements, and secure SBHCs’ status as safety net and essential community providers.
We held a webinar on February 4 that discussed what’s in the legislation and what you can do to support its passage.
